Model 1895 Preußen (Hannover) Füsilier Regt 73

Model 1895 Preußen (Hannover) Füsilier Regt 73 Pickelhaube for Füsilier - Regt. General - Feldmarschall Prinz Albrecht von Preußen (Hannoversches) Nr. 73, Hannover X.Armee-Korps. This helmet appears to be a cut-down older helmet that was reissued as an M1895.

A view of the issued IR 73 Wappen (front plate). On Mannschaften (Other Ranks) helmets, the Bandeau is part of the plate stamping. Unfortunately, the rear underside of the visors has blackened from age, and any markings that may have been there, are unreadable, however, the Wappen fits the helmet perfectly.

A rear view showing the 1895 sliding air vent on the rear spine.
A side view showing the high dome of the helmet.
The liner is made from typical heavy leather.
The Waffenrock with matching Krätzchen (cap) and Pickelhaube. The piping and band on the Krätzchen are in the infantry facing color of red, while the fittings on the Pickelhaube match the color of the buttons on the Waffenrock. To see the Waffenrock click Here. To see the Krätzchen click Here.
