Model 1867 Preußen Ulanen Mannschaften (Other Ranks) Tschapka to parade for Ulanen - Regt. Hennigs von Treffenfeld (Altmärkisches) Nr. 16, Salzwedel - Gardelegen IV. Armee-Korps. The Tschapka is complete with blue parade "Rabbat" around the neck, Haarbusche (plume), and Fangschnur (Cords).
A view of the Preußen Ulanen Mannschaften (Other Ranks) Wappen (front plate). This pattern of Wappen was used by six different Ulanen Regiments.
A side view of the Model 1867 Tschapka. Note how the back of the helmet is designed so that it curves down around the wearer's skull. The cloth "Rabbate" around the neck is blue trimmed in white which are the Regimental colors for UR16.
The Ulanen Tschapka liner was unique, in having squared fingers which met in the center to form almost a closed circle. The liner of the issued Ulanen Tschapka remained essentially the same the entire life of the helmet, from 1842 to 1915.

There is an owners paper label inside the neck marked 2.16 (2 Esk UR16) for "2nd Squadron Ulanen Regt. Nr. 16.

The top on a Model 1867 measured on average an amazing 26 cm diagonally.
