Keeping them Level
To ensure that the porthole would lay flat with the surface and not on a angle, I used a level for each hole.

Not too bad.....
As I always expect some problems, only 16 out of 128 portholes were not in the correct location, either too high, too low, or off to the side.

The incorrect portholes were filled with 5/32" doweling, sanded flush, and then re-drilled. One particularly stubborn porthole, had to be done 4 times to get it right!
