'Fitting' the Deck Now it was time to make the fittings that would go on the deck, and there were a lot of them. As all the parts I had ordered from MZ-Modellbau were garbage, I had to make everything.
The first part to be made, was the front flag pole which was made from brass and soldered. This turned out to be the easiest part to make.

Ketchup Please A problem I had encountered when casting parts previously, was that the big jugs of resin were very difficult to pour from, and I always ended up with too much resin. So I went and bought a ketchup and mustard container for the grand total of $1.00, and poured resin mix in each one. Now I was able to put my finger over the hole to give it a good shake prior to pouring.

A few Drips at a Time.. With these cheap containers, I was able to drip two or three drops of each resin into a spoon, and mix up tiny amounts. This made it much easier and prevented me from wasting a lot of resin.
