Here are several views of the completed hull. Pommern is looking more and more like a battleship. Please note that the Deutschland plans show an anchor chain running along the stern deck and going over the Heckspoiler to the stern anchor, but all the period photos show no chain going over the Heckspoiler. Friedrich Prinz explained to me, that the stern anchor was chained in place, and the crew would only run chain along the deck to use it, if they needed it.
Please ignore the Aufbau (superstructure), it is lacking detail and completing it is next on the list, which will include the masts. The brass pipe you see sticking up is going to be the main mast.
This concludes Part VII of the Pommern project. This leaves only three parts remaining to complete the ship; Part VIII which will be the completion of the Aufbau (superstructure), Part IX which will be the ships boats, and the final chapter part X which will be the rigging. I am already well on my way.
