Fixing the Casemates
When I made the hull casemates in November 2003, I failed to make the vision slits that are on either side of the 10 hull casemate turrets.

So, even though the casemates looked perfect, they needed to be fixed. First, I had made the casemates before I made the turrets, so in most cases (naturally), the casemates were too narrow and needed to be widened.

Vision Slits
Rather than try to 'eye-ball' where the vision slits would go, I used a square file laying on a hardened steel flat wrench built up on the bottom with styrene. This way, every slit would be in the exact same location.

Corrected
Then all they required was some final shaping and sanding, and they would be ready for primer (again). However, from now on, grey primer.
