| Gun Platform Hand Rails Like the Aft deck wall, strips of brass were cut on the Proxxon saw and soldered on to form the hand rails. I found that by doing this with the platform upside-down, it was much easier and more accurate. This method was used for all the gun platforms. |

| The Result Both gun platforms were glued in place with epoxy and soldered to the Aft deck wall. |

| Mid 8,8cm Gun Platforms Only after I had the mid boat deck 8,8 gun platforms completed and glued on did I discover photographs of Pommern which show a very different shape on both sides. On Pommern, the platforms actually form part of the support for the upper deck. So, once again, I pried my work off, tossed them in the trash and made new ones. |
