Crane Master
Like everything else on this ship where I needed more than one, I decided to make a master which I would then use to make a mould and cast the two I required. First step, was to glue the side outline from the Deutschland plans onto sheet styrene and then cut and sand it to shape.

Rivets
Once the two sides were correctly shaped, I was going to individually drill and glue in 2000 HO scale rivets. Once I realized this was an idiotic plan, I chose instead to glue PLM Marinedetails rivet strips along the sides. Much easier, just as effective, and they looked great.

The basic structure was then made from styrene and once glued together, PLM Marinedetails rivet strips added along every edge. Now I had a master that I could mould.
