| Crane Master
Like everything else on this ship where I needed more than one, I decided to make a master which I would then use to make a mould and cast the two I required. First step, was to glue the side outline from the Deutschland plans onto sheet styrene and then cut and sand it to shape. |

| Rivets Once the two sides were correctly shaped, I was going to individually drill and glue in 2000 HO scale rivets. Once I realized this was an idiotic plan, I chose instead to glue PLM Marinedetails rivet strips along the sides. Much easier, just as effective, and they looked great. |

| The Ship's Crane Master Completed The basic structure was then made from styrene and once glued together, PLM Marinedetails rivet strips added along every edge. Now I had a master that I could mould. |
