Fixing the Error
Here is the pine block glued in and ready for sanding into shape. Prior to gluing it in, I cut it roughly into profile to reduce the amount of sanding it would require.

Now They Fit
Much better! Now each propeller clears the hull by 2mm as indicated by the SMS Deutschland drawings. This stage of getting the propeller shafts lined up and re-doing the hull to allow the propellers to fit, required almost a week of constant sanding and manipulation to get it correct.

Propeller Shafts
Now I could add the supports for the propeller shafts. These were made from 6mm aircraft plywood and were hollowed-out slightly to accommodate the propeller shaft. The supports were positioned with a template and glued in place with epoxy. These will be faired-in with body filler to the correct shape later.
